My Tips To Feel Less Stressed

We're all stressed. Whether it's a challenging situation, deadlines, work, family, friends, personal relationships, responsibilities  communication, technology and so on - the list is endless. It's a familiar occurrence in all our lives, but stress really isn't good for us. From experience stress has made me restless, over eat and lack of sleep. We can keep telling ourself that everything is fine but if you don't make a change now you'll end up running around completing tasks that seem to be never ending.

For the past few weeks I've found myself having a little cry because I feel so overwhelmed with life and I just needed to get it out of my system. But now I've realised how unhealthy this is and I need to rest and focus on myself.

Below are my top tips to feel less stressed:

Tidy Up
Before I go to sleep I like to clear my desk and floor, I just feel that when I clean up my workspace it gives me a clear mind to focus on the tasks for the next day.

Go Outside
Sometimes at work when I'm really stressed I tend to have my lunch at my desk which is always a bad decision. I've learnt that it's really important to get out in the open to clear your mind and get your blood flowing.

Keep A Diary
I'm not really one to write in a journal but I do love keeping a diary so I'm organised and having a monthly plan takes care of my anxiety. Although I've never kept a journal I've heard that it's a good way to de-stress.. might give it a try one day.

Take Care & Relax
With stress it can be hard to get to sleep, so one thing I've found that's really helpful is exercising in the evening to keep myself busy. This comes hand in hand with eating well, it's important not to skip meals and maybe try taking some vitamins to keep your strength up. It's always important to schedule some time for yourself - home spa treatment, read, paint your nails or do whatever makes you feel relaxed.
I'd love to hear what your tips are for dealing with stress!!
