Japanese Facial Massage at Skin Aspirations

Stress is becoming more and more common in modern society. Having to manage a full time job, travelling, family, social life and blogging can take it’s toll - leading to lack of sleep, poor eating habits and breakouts.

Last week I was invited to Simona’s clinic - Skin Aspirations in her London for a Japanese Facial Massage* also known as Facelift without Surgery. I've only ever had back massages so I don't really have anything to compare the facial massage to but what I can say was the next time I have a facial massage, I don't know if it'll be able to top Simona's massage that I experienced

What is a Japanese Facial Massage?

A Japanese Facial Massage is a combination of delicate and energising techniques that are applied to the skin in a subtle, quick and rhythmic way to induce a state of deep relaxation. A Japanese Facial massage is an effective technique to reduce stress which aims to leave you feeling rested and relaxed. This massage is also known popularly as the 'facelift without surgery

What are the benefits of a Japanese Facial Massage?

The benefits of a Japanese Facial Massage is to rejuvenate the face and reduce the impact of the ageing process. By stimulating the face muscles with a combination of delicate and energising techniques helps to bring oxygen to the surface of the skin, allowing the blood to flow and give you that natural glow. A Japanese Facial Massage visibly improves the appearance of the skin, provides brightness, reduces eye bags and wrinkles.

My experience

Skin Aspirations is a short walk from South Kensington station and very easy to find thanks to google maps! The Spa itself was very minimal, clean and the subtle music in the background added to the relaxing experience.

After a short and informative consultation with Simona, I got comfortable onto the heated massage table and Simona began the treatment by relaxing my body muscles. She then performed a deep cleansing massage with the dermaviduals skincare range. I have problematic skin - a mix of dry skin and eczema so I was really happy to know the the products Simona uses are all safe and made for skin prone to Porsias and Eczema.

The Japanese Facial Massage was so relaxing that after 20 minutes into the massage or maybe earlier I nodded off into a deep peaceful sleep. I didn't know where I was but I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I try to do mediating and relaxation therapy to help with my stress but nothing has calmed me down the way this massage did, it felt like the weight I was carry round has just vanished, it was just pure bliss.

All in all, I had a great experience at Skin Aspirations, there was no other better feeling of ending a hectic week with a fantastic Japanese Facial Massage. My complexion looked better than before and was surprisingly evident to my friends that evening. Thank you Simona, I'm looking forward to booking myself in for another treatment!!!
