When I first heard about eyelash extensions I was super hesitant about it. To be honest, I was really clueless about the whole process and what was involved.

Before I start rambling on let me first explain what Eyelash Extensions are; they are individual false lashes that are stuck on your natural lashes very delicately to enhance the length, curliness, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes.

So last week I decided to take the plunge and get eyelash extensions done. This is how I met Noor, the lovely and very talented lash technician at Noorilashes (@noorilashes).

Noor’s salon in Clapham Common is very relaxed and cosy, as soon as I walked in I felt super comfortable and knew I was in good hands.

Noor made sure I was relaxed and explained the whole process to me. At this point, I was ready to lie back and take a little snooze while she made me look fabulous. My lash extensions took around two hours and the whole process didn’t hurt at all, it was kind of therapeutic.

Once my lashes were done I was shocked, that they looked and felt super natural, light-weight and fabulous!
It’s been a week since I’ve had my lashes done and they are still as perfect as day one and I kid you not, I have saved so much more time in the morning without having to do my normal makeup routine. On a day to day basis I normally can’t leave the house without eyeliner and mascara but now my wispy, fluffy lashes make me feel fabulous and put together without having to do anything extra.

If you’re considering getting Lash Extensions done here are some after care tips:
  • Do not get your lashes wet the first 24 hours
  • Avoid swimming, saunas and steam rooms for the first 48 hours
  • Do not pull, rub or sleep on your lashes
  • Avoid oil based products
  • Brush your lashes in the morning and evening with a clean mascara wand
  • Do not use eyelash curlers

Whether you have a special occasion coming up, a birthday or you just feel like treating yourself, I highly reccommend trying out Noorilashes. Take a look at her work on instagram @noorilashes
